Udumbara Flower That Blooms Every 3000 Years
The rare Youtan Poluo or Udumbara flower which is according to Buddhist legend, only blooms every 3,000 years, measures just 1mm in diameter.
In the picture you can see the stems of the Udumbara flower had grown 18 white tiny flowers on top and smelled “fragrant”(I know you can’t smell it, so sad isn’t it).
Local temples(Lushan Mountain, Jiangxi province, China) believe the mini blooms are specimens of the heaven-sent(miraculous) Youtan Poluo flower – called “Udumbara” or “Udambara” in Sanskrit, meaning “an auspicious flower from heaven.”
