Udumbara flower to save us from 2012?

The udumbara flower is said to bloom once every 3000 years. According to the legend, last time this flower bloomed, Buddha was seen and the blooming might be interpreted as coming of the new “savior”.
First sighting of an udumbara flower was in July 1997 at a Buddha statue in Korea.

I got to know about this flower from a friend’s status message on facebook and it caught my interest from this youtube video. Don’t know about you but with things like this, I prefer to stick to the legend rather then dig out the truth. It’s just more fun.
